Crater lake called Okama...

The sweetest escape ever...Thank you my love, I love you ^_^...i really really really wanted to go to this place. Dah lama ajak my love and finally he wants to go..and am so glad.. Before this i've never know what is Okama and why it is called as a crater lake...all i know and the reason i wanted to go..because ada tasik di atas gunung..kewll..but after that i browse through the internet..found out that crater lake is a lake that forms in a volcanic crater...ooohh... begitu kah.. Okama is on Mount Zao... besides Okama, this mountain is also the border between Miyagi ken and Yamagata ken.. this lake was formed by the volcanic eruption in the 1720s lagi.. it is also a five colors lake because it changes according to the weather....wahh menarik..but i dont really get it..adakah bertukar setiap musim? erm..i wonder..

The journey took 2 hours...we went there using normal road..tak ambil highway..since it is a bit further from Michinoku park...masih kah dikau ingat? Is is the park where my love and i buat penggambaran hindustan with all those beautiful tulips as well as other flowers.. atas sket from that park ada traffic light and belok kiri..beria-ria cerita macam la all of you can imagine it.. takpe imagine your own picture ok..agak was2 at first coz the road is very narrow and senyap sunyi..2-3 kereta je...nasib ada sign board..i did get recommendation from Hoshi-san, Okama is really worth it when we go around September...the autumn leaves already change their color.. on the way tu wondering jugak..because all the trees look all green lagi..

From the map straight je..cuma jalan nampak belok2 sikit..so we were confident...until sampai di satu persimpangan dilema (macam tajuk lagu..hehe) hmm..confused..so we choose to turn right.. nasib baik betul..up ahead nampak signboard Zao ecoline..yeayy...rasa nak melompat2 keriangan.. on the way..i am still wondering..hijau je lagi daun2 ni.. at that time masih lagi mendaki bukit Zao..until..sampai satu tempat yang berkabus..and i saw colors like orange..red...yellow.. wow wiii..our first autumn experience..last year we arrived around November by that time it's nearly winter time yang ada cuma daun2 gugur je..there were a lot of cars and a lot of spots to see..they put a wooden signboard with camera picture on it.. i guess it's a nice spot to to take picture..terfikir nak stop by to take some pictures..but maybe there will me more on top...teruskan perjalanan.. until we saw..signboard of car park..and cars waiting in line to go in..erm kat sini kut..without wasting time love made a right turn and get in the queue...jem anggur masa nak masuk car park.. we have to pay 520 yen. Still worth it...naik lagi sikit and we found car parking space which seems full..pusing jap..nasib baik.. we got the nearest parking hehe..i like..

They said it is cold up there...yer la dah up in the mountain...my love and i dah standby jacket, i wore 2 layer of clothes..masa sampai tu masih boleh tahan the coldness..love only wore short sleeve shirt..sampai je tu terus put on his favourite jacket from his beloved wifey..hehe..awan tebal..we couldn't see very clear at first..and then nampak everyone headed to one place..agak curam we went there slowly...ikut je mesti semua nak pergi tengok okama..we arrived at one spot.. awan masih banyak..and we waited..and then bit by bit nampak okama..dah nampak..dah nampak.. apa lagi kena la posing...snapped some pictures lepas tu baru la tengok tasik tu betul2.. truly beautiful.. cantik.. masyaAllah..kami sangat kagum... dah jalan turun naik bukit rasa macam hiking plak..seems like this jacket buat perhiasan je kut..hehe

we walked further to see the lake at different angle..my love siap nk join auntie and uncles japan ni pergi hiking further up..huhu..mana boleh tak cukup equipment..next time k.. while we were walking..suddenly..awan tebal datang and covers everything..tak nampak lake pun..jangan kan lake other tourist pun tak nampak... i saw this rock and wanted to take more photos of us.. setting and then lari2..siap buat penggambaran ala2 filem cinta gitu..eheh.. nobody can see us.. mengisi masa lapang sementara tunggu clouds tu clear up... dah habis shooting.. tapi still the same.. and we decided to take the cable car to see the autumn views at the other side of the mountain...

And we were amazed once again by the view..totally breathaking... we made the right choice to come here for our outing..seronoknyaaa....i love this outing a lot...the leaves..the views..the mountains..i just cant describe it with words..Allah yang agung..creates such wonders at this world..and we were glad to have this opportunity..it is surely unforgettable one..nanti nk datang lagi yer love..hehe..insyaAllah..

On the way back to the mountain..suddenly awan sangat tebal and a sudden coldness strikes me...(betul ke ayat ni?)

ingat nak tengok okama once more before balik..no hope..the clouds are still thick..
we decided to go to the other side..baper banyak side ni huhu..one of the shrine up in the mountain...

perut pun dah lapar..we headed back to the car..ate our lunch and start our journey back..ingatkan nak singgah at those autumn spots which we saw earlier..tapi awan masih tebal and we couldnt see anything at the side of the road..tak ada rezeki..but we did had a wonderful experience...thank you love for making this dream come true...xoxo..

Budou gari and picnic...

As i mentioned in my previous post, our cuti raya fall on silver week holiday. Even though it's holiday but we still went to the lab for two days and the remaining one day holiday..we went to budou gari (grape picking) with kak su and family...the actual plan was..a trip to okama..the famous crater at Yamagata-ken. The best season to visit there is during autumn as the leaves start to change to different kind of autumn colors..but sadly...we have to canceled it due to some reason..we dont know how to reach the place..the main reason we wanted to go was... there was this group from Turkey planned to go there and kononnya nak tumpang sekaki..but we misunderstood..we thought they were going to Okama on Tuesday... but actually it's on Wednesday...and we have to go to the lab..tak ada rezeki huhu..but we did enjoy our budou gari..nasib baik ada back-up plan..kalau kak su tak ajak tak merasa la cuti silver week..so called cuti hehe...kak su did mention about picnic as well..plan nak bawa something but wake up that morning buat donut..tak jadiiiiii... owh tidakkk.... what happened.. before this ok jer...wasted my time that morning..nasib baik tak lambat jumpa di checkpoint 99. Or the other name in japanese 99=kyukyu.

Bila hari cuti..maknanya,, jalan jem strawberry.. semua orang keluar makan angin and our car tak terkecuali tersangkut sama dalam jem yang sungguh tidak sedap itu..hehe..or the correct one should be huhu... the journey was supposed to be about 1 hour..became 2 hours...and then when we arrived there banyak sanagt orchard to choose..kak su and family wanted the purple big budou which most of them were meant for selling and not for picking..only green budou are available.. we went to several spots..last2 dah malasa nak cari..most of the shop said the same thing..maka agak kachiwa la jugak..this shop gave us some of their green budou to try..mm.. manis tapi tak semanis that purple one..plus it cost us about 500 yen and you can eat as much as and also as long as you want..no limit..hmm..interesting..and later after that the onwer..my love and i just called him pakcik..of course without his knowing..because we didnt know his name.. so nak senang pakcik la apa lagi hehe..he will show us a very noce spot for picnicking or barbeque. Lagi la teruja..kami sekadar ikut jer..kak su's husband abang faizul did all the talking and searching..he's been in nihon for all his study life..started from undergraduate, master and now finished his PhD..whoa...kewll..

From his shop my love and i tercari-cari jugak where is the kebun...because last time when we went to sakuranbo gari and ichigo gari..kedai and tempat gari just next to each other..suddenly.. everybody went into the car..i followed my love..and nampak pakcik dlm jeep duk hon2... now i know.. he will bring us to the spot... not too far from his shop tapi masuk lorong agak jauh jugak la...

wahhh..luas sungguh kebun pakcik ni...ringgo (apple) ada..nashi (pear) ada..and also sakuranbo..tapi tinggal pokok je coz dah habis season... apa lagi..mesti la nak berphoto session hehe.. but before that terkam dulu budou tu..both of us just manage to finish up about 4 tangkai and after that we were full..plus simpan perut for picnic later..kalau kat kedai..1 tangkai tu 600 yen..but here for 500 yen we can choose and eat as much as we want.

Apabila perut sudah kenyang...i took my love's hand.."jum g sebelah" ... hehe.. nak posing dengan pokok apple plak...and we got free apple from pakcik..tapi satu je..ok la tu..so yummy...sangat manis and juicy gitu...after that we went to walk around pakcik's orchard yang sangat best iteww..

this apple tree is mineee...boleh gitu? hehe..but seriously rasa nak petik bawa balik satu tangkai yang rimbun tu huu..

After that it's makan-makan time..as promised..pakcik bawa pergi taman..and i dont know what is the name..but at least we remembered the road to the park..insyaAllah..boleh datang lagi kalau ada masa...the place was very clean..nice..with small river and also the view of mountains. We didnt snap much pictures...khusyuk makan nasi lemak and also perform our solat there.. before we went back i insist of one photo with my love...posing maut punya..hehe.. ala2 hindustan gitu..nasib tak guling2 tau..

hehe..told ya so..

It's time to go home..kak su and family had soba nearby..we were interested yet we were still full and we wanted to drop by to buy some stuff at Sendai city...on our way back..we sanpped some pictures...some of the mountain view..and a very cosy drive... nasib tak jem..alhamdulillah...

this view reminds of kuantan...when we passed by this road suddenly i heard my love said "Eh, dah nak sampai rumah Kak yu.." hehe kelakar..because i was about to mention about those trees
i saw a signboard...i dont understand what is written..but there was a picture of a mountain peak and beside it, showed the same shape but with a face of monkey yang sedang dongak..i made a conclusion..monkey head mountain ahead..and yes we did saw it..ada tak rupa monkey..or maybe a chimpz..or gorilla..hehe

what a wonderful holiday...we had..love it to the fullest..looking forward for okama trip...

Last day of puasa and Eid 2009...

What we did on last day of puasa..my love and i made the easiest cookies..maklum la kami kan 'pandai' masak..hehe..we made cornflake madu and sarang semut..my all time favourite. Since there were only few of us masing2 dah ada buat rendang, sambal, kuah kacang...etc..so we also made the simplest dish..hehe..roti jala n kari ayam..plus choc cake..tahun ni tak ada sape yg buat choc at home, usually it is my task at home to make at least one choc cake...but i have those wonderful sisters..douzo..hehe..

We dont want to waste our precious time buka puasa together2..yerla..almost everyday berbuka at lab..bincang punya bincang..we decided to try nasi bukhari and ayam tandoori..we went out around noon nak beli stuff utk buat cake, pudding, etc..tak sangka jalan jem peach..macam raya plak.. coincidentally kat sini cuti silver week..start from saturday till wednesday..we had about 1 1/2 hour to cook..those dishes..love focuses on ayam tandoori (nasib baik dah perap sebelum kuwa) and i started to cook the rice.. hasilnya..tadaa...untuk makluman both guna perencah..sgt senang hehe...kamilah pasangan perencah..erk...just cucumber..takder cuka nak buat acar...

last iftar for 2009

Malam raya tido lambat sebab duk menjala...around 2 plus..pagi tu bangun ngantuk..siap2 semua because right after solat raya we will have raya picnic at koen near pejabat imigresen. I forgot the name of the koen huhu..pakai baju last year..purple kebaya..but my love didnt wear baju melayu...he wore his baju hantaran purple shirt. Around 8.30 am dah keluar..and arrived terserempak dengan pitt n iryd. Yey ada geng..tak sah kalau tak buat penggmbaran..hehe.. kali ni solat kat luar masjid sebab ramai sangat orang..so our solat raya was at the car park next to the mosque..

Sato-san, japanese convert to muslim..sedang bagi taklimat kut..we were so far that we couldnt hear anything..

khutbah raya...imam ni datang khas from egypt start from ramadhan and will go back in a few days..

after that off we went to the koen enjoying our dishes.. yummy ..rendang ..kuah kacang n nasi impit.. di bawah pohon yang rendang..angin sepoi-sepoi bahasa..but not too sepoi2 coz it was quite cold..

lepas kenyang..drop by at iryd n pitt's solat and window shopping at Mitsui oulet...ada sale but kurang menarik..and also kurang ongkos hehe..but both iryd and i bought 1 pair of crocs sale.. 1000 yen (about RM37) mana nk dapat crocs with that price..but the size was limited.. everybody berebut2..and i guess we were lucky to find our size..rezeki..malam plak beraya at akmal and ab's house...ate her mom dishes..yummy lontong..and ayam kicap..sedappp...itu jer la aour raya celebration...nasib baik ada diaorg..i couldnt imagine if there were only 2 of us on hari raya..
